Resumo:  O teoricismo consiste em um ponto de reflexão central de toda a discussão empreendida pelo Círculo de Bakhtin acerca das práticas de linguagem, visto que a recusa ao abstrato, ao estático, ao uniforme e ao universal estão presentes nas obras do Círculo sob rótulos diferentes e com objetivos de reflexão também diferentes. Bakhtin, ao empreender a crítica ao modo de fazer ciência abstrata e universalizante defendida pelo positivismo, problematiza a fragilidade de não se levar em conta a dimensão social, histórica, política, cultural e econômica das relações sociais, pois, para o autor, deve-se considerar a concretude e a unicidade do ato responsável, constituindo o evento-existir em sua totalidade, no qual estão imbricadas questões éticas e emotivo-volitivas. Diante dessas questões, neste artigo propomos discutir a relevância da crítica bakhtiniana ao teoricismo, correlacionando-a com o fazer do linguista aplicado.

Abstract/Resumen:  Theoretical theory is a central point of reflection for the entire discussion undertaken by the Bakhtin Circle about language practices, since the refusal of the abstract, the static, the uniform and the universal are present in the Circle’s works under different labels and with different reflection objectives also different. Bakhtin, when undertaking a critique of the way of doing abstract and universalizing science defended by positivism, problematizes the fragility of not taking into accoun t the social, historical, political, cultural and economic dimension of social relations, because, for the author, considering the concreteness and uniqueness of the responsible act, constituting the event-existence in its entirety, in which ethical and emotional-volitional issues are interwoven. Faced with these questions, in this article we propose to discuss the relevance of Bakhtinian criticism to theoreticism, correlating it with the applied linguist’s practices.
